Character: Magnesium chloride, also known as halogen tablets, chemical formula MgCl2. The common is magnesium chloride hexahydrate, also known as hydrochloromagnesite, its chemical formula is MgCl2·6H2O, formula 203.30. The crystal is colorless and easily deliqued monoclinic crystal, with bitter and salty taste. Density 1.569g/cm3, melting point 118℃(decomposition), easily soluble in water and ethanol. Above 170℃, basic magnesium chloride and hydrogen chloride are formed. Chemicalbook decomposition at 600℃ to form magnesium oxide and hydrogen chloride. Anhydrous magnesium chloride is a white glossy hexagonal crystal that is easily deliquated. No smell. It has a bitter taste. Molecular weight 95.22. Density 2.32g/cm3, melting point 714℃, boiling point 1412℃, slightly soluble in acetone, soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, pyridine. In the wet air deliquation and smoke, in the hydrogen gas stream white heat sublimation, easily dissolved in water at the same time intense heat release
Uses: Magnesium chloride is mainly used to make magnesium metal, used as disinfectants, fire extinguishing agents, ice salt refrigerants, but also used in ceramics, textile, paper and other industries.
Packing: It is packed with plastic bag as inner layer, and a compound plastic woven bag as the outer layer. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
Storage & Transportation: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away form water and moisture during transport, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage to bags. Furthermore, it should be stored separately from poisonous substances.
